
Fall Fruit Galettes at Rare Bird Preserves
On Sunday, November 10th, begin to prepare for the holiday season with an arsenal of pie wizardry from Stephanie Lock, founder and creator of Ready-to-Roll Dough. Stephanie will be in the studio to teach her tried and true techniques for rolling, filling, folding and baking Galettes (free-form pies) with Ready-to-Roll Dough. After a beginning demo, students will then have the opportunity to apply their newfound knowledge by making their choice of Stephanie's award-winning apple or pear tart. While the pies bake we’ll dive into a Q&A session while enjoying slices of apple tart and an exclusive savory pear tart developed just for Rare Bird Preserves, featuring Rare Bird's Fig Earl Grey Preserves!
Students will leave the class with their hand made galette, instructions and recipe cards to use at home, and 10% off all retail purchases at the Rare Bird Shop. We will have plenty of Ready To Roll Dough (sweet and savory) in stock for purchase.
